2010 Time of Remembrance
Throughout our history the men and women who have worn the uniforms of the United
States have placed the security of our Nation before their own safety. America will be
forever grateful for their service and sacrifice. On September 25th and 26th, 2010, we will
honor those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
These Soldiers, Marines, Sailors Airmen and Coast Guardsmen took an oath to defend
America, and they upheld that oath with bravery and decency. Over the years, they have
fought to spread freedom and peace, and set a standard of courage and compassion for our
Nations Fallen Heroes and demonstrate that the United States Armed Forces remain
the greatest force for Freedom in human history.
The intention of “Time of Remembrance” wishes to extend their gratitude to the families
who stood by our service men and women in these times of Global War on Terrorism. Each
of the Fallen has left behind loved ones who carry a burden of grief. A gathering such as
this demonstrates that they need not suffer their grief alone.
“Time of Remembrance” is seeking donations to pay for this tribute to our State of Washington
Fallen Warriors and their families for their personal courage and love of this country.
These are the families that have inspired all Americans by their strength. Please give what
you can.
Saturday, September 25th the families and fellow comrades of the fallen will have the opportunity
to privately meet for a time of sharing. A Candlelight Vigil, we will gather at the Regional VA Memorial at Columbia Park, Kennewick, WA. , at which time the public is invited to join the families for a moment of reflection and healing.
Sunday, September 26th, there will be an official State Recognition Ceremony hosted by
the City of West Richland, WA., at Flat Top Park. We encourage all Washington Citizens
to attend this important event as we give back to those who have given their all.
The “Time of Remembrance” Committee and A.C.E.S. (American Citizens Encouraging
Support) truly appreciates all that you can do to help support our cause. Nothing is
too much for our Fallen Warriors and those whose lives they have touched.
Sincerely,
2010 Time of Remembrance Planning Committee
