Casey A. Wachsman 1980 ~ 2008 Staff Sergeant Wachsman was born in Alliance Ohio, to Keith C. and Cindy Wachsman. Upon graduation from Pandora High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and attended basic and technical training in Texas beginning 23 June 1999. Trained as a C-17 aircraft crew chief, he was stationed at McChord Air Force Base near Seattle, Washington from February 2000 to August 2007. During this time he worked as an aircraft maintainer and weapons system coordinator, deploying to Rein-Main Air Base Germany for six months in 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Shortly after returning from overseas, he married Emily Hall of Port Angeles, Washington, and their daughter Hannah was born 2 October 2004. After re-training into the training manager career field, he served in the 62nd Security Forces Squadron, where he qualified in the use of multiple weapons and frequently simulated adversaries in security forces exercises. In August 2007, SSgt. Wachsman reported for duty with the 367th Training Support Squadron at Hill Air Force Base. After just one year of creating interactive multimedia courseware, he established himself as one of the squadron’s experts. He was a true professional, who always accomplished the assigned mission, typically going above and beyond. He is a graduate of the Airman Leadership School and the Community College of the Air Force, and was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal in 2005. His two greatest passions in life were his family, and his service in the United States Air Force. Casey was a true hero, in every sense of the word.

Staff Sergeant Wachsman is survived by his wife Emily, and daughter Hannah.
